Welcome to Rocko. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use our mobile application and services.
2. Information We Collect
- Account Information: Name, email address, phone number, date of birth, and profile photographs.
- Location Data: We collect your location data (GPS) to facilitate the "Check-In Verification" process.
- Usage Data: Logs of your interactions with the app, features used, and crash reports.
- Device Information: Device model, OS version, and unique device identifiers to prevent fraud and ensure security.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account.
- To facilitate connections between Users and Hosts.
- To verify your physical presence at a venue (via Location and one time Code).
- To process payments through our secure third-party partners.
- To improve app performance and user experience.
- To communicate with you regarding updates, security, or support.
4. Sharing of Information
- With Other Users: Select profile information (Photo, Name, Bio) is visible to other users.
- Service Providers: We share data with trusted third parties for payment processing, cloud hosting, and analytics.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety and rights of Rocko or its users.
- No Sale of Data: We do NOT sell your personal data to advertisers or third parties.
5. Location Services
Location access is required to use the core "Hosting Services" of the app. We access your location primarily in the foreground when you are using the app to verify arrival at a venue.
6. Identity Verification
To ensure community safety, we require identity verification. Depending on the method you choose, we collect and store the following:
- Aadhaar (via DigiLocker): We do not store your Aadhaar number. Verification is processed through a secure verification service provider via DigiLocker. Only your verified status is recorded.
- Bank Account: We store the last 6 digits of your bank account number and the verification response received from a secure verification service provider, which may include your bank name, branch details, and name match result. Your full account number is never stored.
- PAN Card: We store the last 5 characters of your PAN number and the verification response received from a secure verification service provider, which may include your registered name and PAN type. Your full PAN number is never stored.
All verification data is processed through a secure verification service provider and is used solely for identity verification purposes. This data is never sold or shared with any other third party.
7. Data Retention
We retain data only as long as necessary for:
- Providing services
- Legal compliance
- Fraud prevention
8. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can manage your profile settings within the app or contact support to request account deletion.
10. Children's Privacy
Rocko is strictly for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
